The University Women’s Club of Toronto holds social, cultural, and educational events throughout the year for its members.
The Speakers Series invites speakers from a range of backgrounds to speak on many interesting topics. These events are generally held in the evening, over a delicious dinner at The Faculty Club. All members are invited and guests are welcome!
CFUW Ontario Council, of which we are members, also has an interesting speaker series for 2024-2025. Details are available here.
Spotlight on Us is a popular event, giving one member the spotlight to share something about herself - a passion, an interest, a career, a life story. We have enjoyed a wide range of discussions from psychology to community advocacy to amazing travel slide shows.
To make it possible to meet our philanthropic goals, we rely on the proceeds of Fundraising Events. Since its inception more than 100 years ago, the UWC of Toronto has been a force in finding creative ways to raise money to achieve these goals. Our fundraising is mainly accomplished through creative social events organized by the Fundraising Committee, and supported and put into action by our entire club membership.

Rethinking Aging: Bridging the Health Gap for Older Women
Women’s Age Lab at Women’s College Hospital is the first and only research centre of its kind – focused on supporting healthy aging for older women. Dr. Paula Rochon, the Founding Director of Women’s Age Lab, has a distinguished career in promoting the health and well-being of older adults, particularly women, and finding new ways to improve their lives. Join us on May 12, 2025 for Dr. Rochon’s talk, “Rethinking Aging: Bridging the Health Gap for Older Women”, to gain valuable insights into what aging looks like today and how important it is to address the unique needs of women as they age.
Dr. Rochon’s talk will take place in the Main Lounge of the Faculty Club at 5:30 p.m. The talk will be free to members of the Faculty Club; non-Faculty Club members (including UWC members who are not Faculty Club members) are asked to pay an event fee of $13.00 (which includes HST and the Faculty Club’s service charge) by credit card at the door.
